Default KK 2nd Hand, 10+1 45MTT

Hi,

Game is a 45 People MTT on FullTilt, 1500 Chips to start with blinds are 15-30,second hand i get dealt KK in late Position.
4 limpers to me i raise to 200, the button reraises to 600 and it is folded to me.
Is it the correct play to shove here even though it is the second hand of a tournament?

Yeah probably. I push and usually run into AA, but he could be doing this with a wider range given that it's early.

I don't know how good those players are though.

easy shove

You crush his range ... and running into AA happens but it is selective memory to think it happens more than it should

Knowing how loose FTP 5 table tourneys are, I wouldn't be able to push fast enough. Probably end up with someone with 9s

This is a really bad question. But it is great that you are asking it because you can't learn if you don't evaluate your play. Of course, this question is covered in the FAQ sticky atop the page and you should take a look at that thread as well as the antology threads also stickied.

Bookmark this thread and come back to it in 6 months. If you spend those 6 months learning the game and studying it you should have a good laugh at yourself for wanting to fold pocket kings to a single reraise preflop.

FWIW - I would never fold KK preflop in an online tournament with any buy in at any level (satellites excluded). Folding KK to a single preflop raise is blasphemy.

Hm,
i never "really" thought of folding them.
My problem just was that usually iam a cashgame player, and just wanted to make sure that shoving with kings in this place is absolutely sound.
