Default NL50 - Representing Ace

No particular reads from villain.

No IQ poker Cicero 0.25/0.50, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

saw flop | saw showdown

Button ($41)
SB ($25.85)
BB ($121.50)
UTG UTG ($61.82)
UTG+1 Hero ($57.80)
CO ($24.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 6 6
UTG calls 0.50, Hero raises to 2.50, 4 folds, UTG calls 2.

Flop (5.75) 5 J 7
UTG checks, Hero bets 4.50, UTG calls 4.50.

Turn (14.75) A
UTG checks, Hero bets 10, UTG calls 10.

River (34.75) K
UTG checks, Hero checks

I think preflop and flop are quite standard, but the hand gets interesting on the turn. I thought this would be a good time to represent an ace, because now I would get the villain fold his flopped pair or PP. Atleast I think he would fold it, considering the fact that board is extremely wet and the ace came there, there is actually nothing he is going to beat. Betting also denies him from getting the right odds to draw.

Is this a good play at these stakes or should I wait until I have moved to bigger ones? I think I should atleast practise these ones a little bit before going to the bigger games.

Thanks in advance.

I like this spot to 2 barrell. Board is draw heavy and the A makes alot of pairs on the flop questionable to continue with.

I 2 barrell here all day if that was a snap call on the flop.

The only reason I don't like it is because you have no reads. You don't know if he's a 50/20 that's not gonna fold a 7, or if he's a 12/9 that has a set.

Other than that though, that is the perfect card to fire a second barrel on.
