Kosmo's "is there an off button?" while the girl was trying to interrupt him was great. All the guys did well with that attitude this time around, there were a lot of good lines like that.

Good show, but it's in the interest of the PUA teachers to suggest that these methods can work for a very unattractive looking guy. Mystery is VERY good-looking, and guys who look like this can get women with ease, game or no game. None of the nerds are very unattractive either.

I'd enjoy the show much more if the teacher was one of those _extremely_ rare guys who is unattractive and still does well with hotties. In my life I've only met one person like this who wasn't famous or extremely rich.

IMO good looks are to attracting women as good luck is to winning at poker. It takes uncanny game (poker skill) to overcome bad looks (or lifelong bad luck).

All,

Is it agreed that Mystery is really really ridiculously good looking.

My gf and her friend both thought he was ugly. I'm sure he could probably seduce them with his black magic, but on looks alone, they were not impressed.

Don't do that. Just raise him to be confident and willing to speak his opinion and be talkative.

And how do I do that? I'm not exactly the most qualified!

[/ QUOTE ]

It's really easy when their young. Just make a point to include him in discussions. Look at his attentiveness to conversations, and ask his opinion constantly. I don't have kids, from friends of the family and cousins and the like, i've found that little kids can't wait to speak and are interested in everything (then immediately interested in something else ).

So take advantage of that before they hit the teen, independence, rebellion stage. Enroll him in activities that include other children, like sports. martial arts I think would be huge, especially at a young age, because even if they hate you for forcing them to go, once they develope skills and mature a few more years they'll most likely embrace it and thank you for starting them on the path.

This only helps his case. The larger the guy (not fat, but size) the uglier he can be, and Mystery is also fairly good looking. However, he seems to go out of his way to make himself look like an eye sore, almost as if to give a full representation of his method.

for the majority of women, no mystery is not good looking...well, not good looking enough for it to be a factor.

I like my analogy. The uncontrollable factors in "the field" and in poker are much more influential to results than the teachers would like for you to know.

BTW, I've done extremely well in my 20's and 30's for a fugly guy (big ears, bad teeth, crooked nose, lazy eye), but I've had to work damn hard at it..

I'm 40 now so it's rare for me to even see a chick in the USA near my own age who is still sexy...also, I'm having my first losing year at poker after 15+ winning years, so yeah, I'm frustrated, but very experienced.
