Default MTT PLO8 12M - Am I pot-committed here?

Should I have seen this flop for free instead, or was this raise okay?

Was I pot committed on this flop even if I hated it?

Your pot committed on the flop and the raise was fine.

Your pre flop raise was effectively an all in regardless of what hit the flop.

At the time, my thinking was as follows:

Possibly drawing to one ace, two tens, and runrun low, otherwise nearly dead. Can fold here and pick one hand to double up or die to get back to where I was at the beginning of the hand.

I ran this through propokertools, and found I had between 10 and 20% equity, depending on if anybody had two pair or better yet. I then ran it against the two hands I saw at showdown and A2xx, and I was 10% equity there.

Tough spot and you have no pure outs except something to come runner runner.

I'd try to find a fold here.

Umm I've been playing the PLO8 tourneys. Based on the plays I've seen there is NO REASON TO ASSUME YOU ARE BEHIND HERE. Honestly... your opponent, by calling the raise, was likely going to go all in no matter the flop. If he had any pair, any flush draw, any straight draw or sometimes nothing he was likely going to push this flop.

[/ QUOTE ]What about the two calls behind? I know people call thin when they're going for the elimination, but that's a lot of hands to beat on the river. If hero had pushed himself he may have gotten fewer callers.

I know most PLO8 tourneys are full of sub-par players (myself included) but there's not many outs even if he is currently ahead.

Pre-flop is where the action should have started.

I didn't do the math. Was his raise not a PSB? If he could have pushed PF he certainly should have.
