I raise 5-6bbs with premium hands(AK/AQ/AA-JJ) pretty much in all positions maybe less in lp but I do mix it up sometimes(limp, miniraise, 3bbs)

it would make it easier becaue atlest one of us knows what the other has, (unless he is a maniac and that is not the case according to his AF). and if he keeps playing back at us we have a pretty good idea we are beat, now our image is important here too. if we have been supper aggro and been bluffing we kind of have to call, because he could be thinking we got air or are on a draw and doesnt want us to suck out to his m PP or something but I dont think the heros image was that.

raise more on the flop...not sure what you're doing here. such a weak flop bet on such a dangerous board.

[ QUOTE ]

I usually raise to about $11 or $12 at a 1/2 live game if I am the first person in.

Don't do that when you move up in stakes.

I didn't raise, I bet. And with the rake the pot is about ~$22-$23 so my bet is ~4/5 of the pot. One or two dollars more wouldn't make much difference other then it's even harder to get away from the hand on later streets.

it would make it easier becaue atlest one of us knows what the other has

[/ QUOTE ]Just to make sure I understand and can adopt this strategy.

You raise 5 to 6 BB with premium hands so that villains know that you have a premium and therefore based on their reaction the hand plays out easier for you yourself, right?

your standard raise should be the same w/ 77 as it w/ AA as it w/ 76s. you shouldnt be looking at your hand at all when determining your raise size.
