I dont get the thing about the cat wanting something in its rectum. I mean, I laughed, cuz its funny, but wtf? Are girls on coke also eager to have things slid into their butts? Is this what all the hype is about?

I think the second paragraph is more funny than most people realize; the phrase 'too anxious to' is what does it here. The author of the article is trying to say that the feline was 'too anxious' and so wouldn't let the vet insert something into its rectum, but, hilariously enough, the phrase 'anxious to' means that the cat is desirous of such an event happening. The intended meaning and the resultant meaning are completely opposite, and hence hilarious; the idea of a coke-addled cat desperately wanting the veterinarian to anally penetrate it, which is in fact opposite of what actually happened, is what gives this story its true comic value.

The alternate and traditional definition of 'anxious' is being used here, as a synonym for having nervous tension or being high-strung and wary, not as a synonym for excited and eagerly awaiting.

The writer is trying to say the cat was too hopped up and wired to sit still and relax, not that the cat was spread eagle with a puckered buuhole and a sultry 'come hither' look in it's eyes.

This probably makes more sense.

Why would you want to do coke before during or even after a meal?
