What's the biggest stack you've ever seen someone have at $1/$2 NL?

I reached over $1200 last night. I'm sure many people have that beat though. Lets hear your high scores and those of other people you've seen.

Also another question. Which is favorable for $1/$2, time or rake? Everywhere else I have played charges $5 per half hour per player, but the Borg takes 10% up to $4 which I liked much better. Couldn't quite figure out which one is better for the players though.

Highest that I've ever seen was probably 1500 the first time I was at the Showboat. The guy had them in 40 chip stacks, and it still took up a decent amount of room because he only stacked them in a straight line. Because of this the player to his right knocked them all down when he turned or something, I didn't see how it happened.

And you should get on AIM some more. I was just at the Borg on Fri-Sat, had a decent time but only wound up like 100. As for my highest total it was last weekend at the Borg when I had about 900, though I was down 600 due to a hand that I played horrible and a suckout. So I only wound up breaking even with that.

The biggest stack I have ever seen was 1/2 $40 min/max buy-in-- About $750.

As predicted, he lost most of it back.

I have seen $2100 at 1-3 NL with $80 max buy-in. The guy had been there for 2 days without leaving.

At 300 max buy-in in AC I have personally only been in the 1000-1100 range but I once sat to the immediate left of this old guy at the Taj who everyone called the banker.
He probably had $2500-3000 in front of him. Just huge piles of chips.

I was in Vegas this weekend and had $1500 in the $300 max at Venetian on Sat night and $1600 at one point in the $200 max at the MGM early Tuesday morning. I was running very hot.

At Paris over the summer I built up a $2300 stack at $1/$2 with a $300 cap on hte buy in.

Edit: I was down to about 1900 when I cashed out. Had to leave because everytime someone new sat down at the table they'd say "Woah, how'd you get that much?" And this drunk rich guy that responsible for $1000+ of it would say "He's the best player I've ever seen." The game ended up completely nitted up for me.

Week ago Friday nite, Caesars in AC, young guy about 26 yo had what i counted to be about 1900 in front of him. He proceeded to get that up to a total of about 2500 before the table broke. I sat down at the table and played a couple of hands, but we never mixed it up together. Got Aces and bet out with $20 and he folded.

playing 1/3 uncapped at the wynn last summer there was a guy with $5000 in black sitting next to a decent stack of smaller chips as well.
