Default blackjack side bets?

I'm wondering what the odds are for blackjack side bets, the small circle to the right of the blackjack bet circle. I like to play them every once in a while for entertainment.

Let's put it this way.

The casino will never offer you a bet in your favor.

The general rule is that any side bet has worse odds than the maingame. Without any details on the particular bet, the best I can do is point you toward wizardofodds.com and see if he has it listed on his site somewhere.

my local casino has Lucky Ladies. i laugh at people who play it. however, i was there the other day for the first time in over a year and almost everyone at the table was playing it except me and some old dude on the end. he ended up with suited queens of hearts, and dealer got blackjack, for which he would have won 1000-1 had he bet. oh well, too bad.
some of those side bet games have a 50% house edge. horrible

Those side bets are the worst. Unless you get a kick out of it (like you said, entertainment value), they're really horrible odds-wise. You're better off playing that ridiculous "money wheel" game.

It depends on the side bet. I used to make a lot of money back when casinos had the "over/under 13" bet.

Yes, but that one is countable, and the EV correlates much more strongly with the count than the main game.
