AQs flops a fantastic draw, but i\'m caught between a LAG and station
Preflop is very bad I think its a clear 3bet. Flop is pretty dangerous and the fact that I'm caught between a LAG and a calling station. I usually just raise and get it in. Is it still +EV to raise UTG's lead?
Party Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter CO: $141.56 BTN: $98.58 SB: $104.42 BB: $112.54 UTG: $112.66 Hero (MP): $98.50 Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (MP) UTG raises to $4, Hero calls $4, CO calls $4, 3 folds Flop: ($13.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players) UTG bets $12, Hero???? |

You can get away when you whiff and your equity plummets, and if you hit, well then what better spot to be than between a LAG and a calling station, amirite? Edit: plus it will get checked through on the turn some amount of the time and now you get to see two cards for cheep. |

god i have this great post just on the tip of my fingers, but i can't put it down like i want.
raise, because you are going to get called by a lot of stuff you beat and fold out AK. you also are going to fold out hands like KJ or 109 yadada which increases your equity more? basically i wouldn't mind getting it in here. bleh this sucked |

I'm also not so sure that you get called by stuff you beat. I mean, you have bupkis at the moment. I don't "mind" getting it in here. But I don't think that maximizes our EV in this particular spot. |

Ike, why would we want to fold out hands that we're ahead of? If villain wants to call this bet with KJ or whatever, fine, it's probably -EV for him versus our hand, so we gain from his mistake. He does have equity against our hand, yes, but I mean he's calling a PSB with 10 outs tops with those hands and can't really justify a call getting 3:1 and really poor implied odds. Basically what I'm trying to say is that when he makes a mistake, we gain from the FTOP (unless this is one of the freaky spots where it doesn't apply multiway, in which case plz to be explaining more)
