[/ QUOTE ] I honestly don't know what the 2+2 SOP is on something like this, but I don't understand the ban. He was, in most people's eyes, being dumb, but that in and of itself doesn't seem to be a violation of the T&C, unless he is an obvious troll. I don't know that he was/is, perhaps he created a gimmick account months ago with nearly 200 posts before unleashing in this thread. But the thread served a "valuable" purpose, which is allowing people to feel intellectually superior to the poster in question, and we all need an excuse to feel better about ourselves. Unban plz.

it's a temp ban, he'll be back later today. and it's right in the OOT sticky. derailing threads is absolutely punishable, and i've done it before (in threads i had no part in). especially after you've been warned. everyone who doesn't like this can look no further than the second paragraph: "know that this forum is moderated in a harsh and often arbitrary fashion." end of discussion in this thread, find phill s and bwana devil and start an ATF thread if it's an issue.

Shoulda started my post by mentioning that I really didn't care one way or the other, it was just an observation. Anyway, I haven't read the sticky in so long I may be ripe for a temp ban of my own...
