AZ is the best rapper in history

Dude, AZ's second album was absolute ASS. His first album was pretty good though, but not classic by any means.

As for the Nas/AZ comparison though, I stand by it. I still think Nas trumps AZ with ease, even considering several years of totally mediocre work inbetween Illmatic and Stillmatic.

I see your point, AZ is sick and very underrated.. But Big L is even more underrated and much better than AZ imo. And btw, Illmatic alone makes Nas a better rapper than AZ.

AZ is probably among the most underated rappers of all time, but to call him the best is absurd. I love AZ, Aziatic and Doe or Die are certainly his 2 best IMO, but the only knock on AZ is that he was always better on other people's albums than on his own, which is unfortunately true.

FWIW MC Juice is very, very good, but more underground, and I doubt that's what OP was talking about. I would definitely recommend looking up the "Tupac Diss Freestyle" by MC Juice, in which he doesn't call out Pac by name, but it's a great track none the less (there is a debate as to whether or not it's actually a freestyle). He was at one point ranked the #2 freestyle artist in the world back when I used to follow that stuff, but it's been a number of years since I was really big into underground/ freestyles

AZ is/was ok. Nas is mediocre. Nelly is mediocre. Big L was well better than any of those...Cormega is ok...I dunno, I'd take Shells & Joe Budden over any of em, but that's just me.
