One bluff does not make somebody "bluffy".

One bluff does not make somebody "bluffy". [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. But he has a history of bluffing, and leads into the pfr. How bad is folding? |

[/ QUOTE ] This reminds me of something Aba said and CTS echoed, that poker players tend to have long memories for isolated incidents, and let it colour their perceptions too much. His line isn't anyway similar in the 2 hands, and he most likely has a hand that is tough to play out of position, and wants to find out what side of WA/WB behind he's on. It's really tough for him to fire the turn with less than a Q. If i'm raising here, its as a bluff. |

Re: JJ, meowcheow tag donks the flop
I mean I pretty much call here 100% of the time, but then fold a [censored] load to turn bets... which makes we want to raise/fold more than calling, unless I'm happy to call two barrells alot more often.

Re: JJ, meowcheow tag donks the flop
so we call, turn is a blank and villain checks, do we peel a card hoping villain bluffs the river, or do we bet out the turn and just hope to take it down?
I struggle when i get donked into like this in a 3bet pot? |

[/ QUOTE ] Its true that one incident isnt directly relevant to this hand, it just shows that he is capable of bluffing and taking some unconventional lines despite his nitty PF stats. I dont have a whole lot more to go on with this guy, we dont have much history. I think the flop is a call. So, I called... Turn is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. He shoves for slightly more than the pot size. Its a pretty unusual line, I cant say I ever donk twice into a preflop 3bettor so I really am struggling to work out his range here. |

Re: JJ, meowcheow tag donks the flop
def call at least once. raising sucks because he can shove a wide range and were behind to a queen that may shove as well.
