+EV = Marleau over 2.5 shots
Maruleau (for the San Jose Sharks) is paired up with Joe Thorton, the assist king and best passer in the NHL. Marleau is getting EV for over 2.5 shots on goal, and take that bet. He is averaging about 2.5 shots a game as it is, but that was with Goc and Grier who are not very dangerous players.

I had a player once who took the over on a "Shots by Player X" prop, and lost. He tried to cash the ticket, and didn't believe us when we told him that he lost.
He returned the next day with a boxscore, the likes of which I had never seen before. Besides listing each players goals, assists, PIM, and shots on goal, it had a separate listing for "shots". Blocked shots, and shots that missed everything, were counted. The bettor told us that this sort of boxscore is made available to the press in the press box. It was my boss' decision how to handle this dispute. I thought for sure he'd tell the guy to take a hike, but instead, the boss said "Pay him. And from now on, make sure our props include the words shots on goal."

I have 3 sportsbooks and I keep Sportsbetting.com because it was my first, and I like it for NHL props.
The bet was a winner and Marleau had 4 shots in a 9-4 win, one of the best hockey games Ive been to in a long time. Sharks were down 3-0 and scored 9 unanswered goals. The Thorton (4 assists) Marleau (1 g, 3a) line is starting to light it up, look for them in props. Go Sharks!

I never tire of reading your adventures with customers. I worked for a bookmaker for a short time many years ago but I think I told every noteworthy story on here about four years ago [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
