Ack. I just wet myself for nothing again!

Is it just me or is anyone else wonder how the [censored] hard could it be for Full Tilt, Stars, et al. to found a bank in Antigua to handle their money transfers?

Hear hear. Of course if they were winning players(some are I'm sure) they wouldn't have to worry about how to make a deposit! At least till the dust settles.

[/ QUOTE ] It looks like, after initial set-up, fish will find this a pretty easy route.

Before
Bank Account\credit Card-->Neteller--> Site probably accounted for 50% or greater of US deposits.

Now
Bank Account\Credit Card-->Neteller-->Site With obvious drawbacks being that credit cards are charging this as a cash advance (hence 3.7%) and the time to get the actual card. Now the second of those presupposed that you need the actual card to make deposits and the like (a safe assumption). Ad of course losing out on any one stop deposit metho like e-checks is problematic.

The Cash Advance part is what I find as troubling as anythin else.

[/ QUOTE ] I think the cash investment to do that is daunting to them. Ad, yes, I think they may be very short-sighted in this regard.

[/ QUOTE ] Err, Umm, I am pretty sure Slim does't need to make a deposit (nor myself.) Its not our own ability to deposit we are concerned with. Do you see why?

I can't understand how this would work for long. Apparently mywebATM is a US company. They'd have to be given they claim funds are FDIC insured? No? OR is it a foreign corp with a US bank account? So $$ goes from me -> mywebATM's US bank -> offshore bank -> FTP? So my $$ is insured until it leaves their US bank?

If that's the case - shouldn't these new payment processors wait until AFTER the regs are written before they start moving money to poker sites? That way they don't get on any potential "illegal to send $$ to xxxx" list that may come w/the regs?
