I think the fold is fine after that raise. I would like to see you check that flop though with the intent of checkraising his likely continuation bet.

That way you win money off the times he whiffs the flop as well as when he hits either of the lower two cards. As played, I think the only times he calls your bet that you are ahead is with a weaker jack (and maybe if he's paired one of the lower two cards).

Fold preflop

???

Not sure I get it. As played, the c/r is nice here but the fold is more likely - you did your job in raising the flop.

Edited - didn't see the overbet.

I wouldn't bet here OOP...When you preflop only called...
I would C/R.

If I play this hand, I would raise/fold depending on the player. But with no read yet, I would probably 3bet his PFR, because the range of a button raiser is very wide and you need to give urself a image so they dont attack your blinds all the time (guess JT+ 22+)

*EDIT:
I think your Potbet is asking for a fold, he can raise with anything imo

i'd usually 3bet preflop, but calling is fine.

those of your saying check-raise the flop:

1. you're felting the hand, right?
2. you think hero should've felted the hand as played, right?

flop looks like an easy check-call to me.

I probably lead the flop for about 2$, same way I would play a set. I do fold to the raise though and would also consider folding preflop.

I'm curious if you're willing to fold to a raise, then why bet the flop so hard? If you're going to let this go to resistance, then don't commit quite so many chips with the probe and save yourself a few bb's. What would you have done if he'd merely called?

Why are you guys trying to advocate c/r the flop? I dont get it. c/c and lead turn, or c/c flop and c/c turn and river, or something. But dont c/r here...

OP: pf is fine, so is a reraise pf. Dont fold.
