in retrospect i hate my flop bet too. he'll likely fold all worse hands and not many better ones plus i bloat the pot making my turn play impossible.

his turn donk confused the hell out of me.

Check flop, call turn, check river. Gets you to the showdown cheaper, and allows him to bluff with wiffed overs (AK/AQ etc) . You lose the same if he has AA/KK, get more, if he check folds AK/AQ, and can fold to a turn and river bet combo.
