[/ QUOTE ] yeah i prefer mine more "well done" as well, but the "other" ones are really good like that, when they are sliced thin with tons of onion and garlic. the well done ones are cooked well, but often don't have as much flavor beyond the initial crisp.

People think I'm crazy, but I don't like hash browns, but I LOVE home fries. I actually don't think I've ever had the kind of hash browns that Noah has ranked at the top though because of my dislike for fast food hash browns. It's probably the one food people look at me in disbelief when I say I don't like it.

home fries are the cut up real potatoes you get at breakfast that are cut there in the restaurant and cooked on the grill. hash browns are the stringy things sometimes made locally but most times made in some giant plant in a city and dowsed in chemicals so as to keep their color and fresh look. i go for home fries. Home fries. I make mine with lots o' onions and fresh garlic. Some of the onion gets a bit blackened and really adds to the pop. Hash browns are just extra greasy french fries. Bleh.
