$200nl OESFD
Lately I have been a bit worried I have been missing out on profitable potential pots when draws hit by letting people out early.
In defense of this my move on flops where people cbet a lot is to raise them (not usually this much, maybe to 38. I dont mind building pots with TP because I have position and can use pott control on the turn). Villain is 33/13/2.5/60hands Party Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter UTG: $261.84 CO: $66 Hero (BTN): $197 SB: $272.95 BB: $300.67 Pre-Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN) UTG raises to $8.09, CO folds, Hero calls $8.09, 2 folds Flop: ($19.18) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG bets $16, Hero raises to $60, UTG folds Results: $51.18 Pot |

Re: $200nl OESFD
Kxx flops are the most scaring for the raiser. I don't expect him to cal the raise with anything but AK/KK+. SO basically your bluff is probably profitable with atc. But only becuse we have a +EV bluff doesn't mean its the best play. I would think calling the flop is even better. But raising flop is certainly not worng.. maybe to $50 is enough but w/e. |

Re: $200nl OESFD
errrr, why wouldn't you want to raise here? You have a monster...play it fast.

Re: $200nl OESFD
I prefer raising to $40ish here, anyone see any problem with that?
I try and make cbetting a nightmare for the regs and disguising my draws/sets/midPP/air by c/r or raising in position all flops like KXX that people love to cbet as well as drawy flops. Seems to work all round for meta game and disguise. |

Re: $200nl OESFD
this is obviously fine. sometimes you call and wait til the turn to raise although it cuts down on our equity, it will let us take the same line w/ or sets or as a pure bluff. then other times we can call the flop and the turn since we have position. I really don't think you can misplay this unless you call then call the turn when he overbets or something. as long as ur not doing the same thing with each hand ur fine.

Re: $200nl OESFD
You raised too much on the flop... seems like you have realized that too. Raise on turn on a blank is a good alternative plan
