[/ QUOTE ] Dealers are getting under 5 dollars an hour, breaking their backs hoping to average over a dollar a hand. [/ QUOTE ] Breaking their backs? How? By sitting in chairs and dealing cards? [/ QUOTE ] Actually, for your consideration, backs are probably the highest cause of workmans comp claims in poker. After 8 hrs of bending and reaching from the back/waist your's will be on fire many nites of the week as well. But what clue do you have? To be expected. most have no idea what it is like so they just figure it's monkey work. On the other hand, most monkies would chew your fu'kin arms off for some of the shiit said to dealers. Heh...it takes a special kind of person to deal with alot of the idiots in the poker world. Most people refuse to do it. [/ QUOTE ] I have yet to see or hear of a dealer who actually "broke their back" by dealing cards. Somebody with a real broken back could be unable to walk or in a wheelchair. I have no idea how somebody could relate a broken back to card dealing. If somebody gets real back problems from very slight reaching and bending to get chips, well than they need to take care of themsevles be exercising and not treating their backs like dirt everyday. This is true for many Americans, not just dealers. |

Re: I don\'t tip
I suspect it is more than just 'very slight reaching'.
I also suspect that if you were dealing 8 hours a day you too would get back problems regardless of how much you took care of yourself. Maybe you would be one of the lucky ones who didn't though. But there's a pretty good chance you would. Bigfish or other dealers - to help back my claim, what % of dealers do you think have pretty darned sore backs? I know blackjack dealers who would complain of this too but I never had a problem with it. But I also think that there's not nearly as much reaching dealing this game. |

Re: I don\'t tip
I think that anyone who posts "I don't tip" and is proud of it is a donkey.......It is bad enough to be rude and cheap, but to brag about it on this forum as well is just pathetic.

Re: I don\'t tip
the thing about dealing is there is 0 room for error. If you screw up when you dealer you are screwing up with other poeples money and you will get berrated time and time again. It is not like other jobs where you can afford to make a mistake and correct yourself without consequences. So saying that dealing is just the easiest job ever in my opinion isnt true.

Mr. Mexican is the type that I double rake, short change out of the rack and kill their hand the first chance I get.
