Default When do you fold this? 78hh @ $100nl

was playing on a friend's comp so no HH.

120 BB's deep at $100nl 6max.

i open 78hh UTG for 3.5 X BB.

called by CO.

742r flop. i lead for $4.5 into the $8.5 pot. he min raises. i call.

10 on the turn. i check. he fires PSB. i fold.

i feel like i leak a lot of money with these hands and in pots where i flop TPBK and face action.

fold pre is my default when multitabling but i wasn't at the time.

Why the small flop bet? I know styles differ, but I always bet bigger in spots like these.

I'd call the min-raise (to spike 2pair + trips + hope he checks behind) and fold the turn as well, can't really see him doing this w/ anything you're ahead of.

Just because you open lightly doesn't mean you have to felt every time you flop a pair, that's what differentiates us from the pure maniacs

yeah i'd actually rather flop a FD or OESD than top pair with this hand.

what about 3-betting the flop? and shutting down to further action?

as for reading villain hand.. 44 or 22 maybe.. 56s.. not that it matters much here as i can't beat much.

guess fold preflop is the best solution..

and c-bet $7 rather than $4.5

Def. fold preflop if you aren't ready to handle situations like this. Not trying to be an ass here. There's nothing wrong with playing nitty until you get a feel for how to play marginal spots -- because most of the situations you get into w/ 87s UTG are gonna be marginal. That's how we all started out.

3-betting the flop is awful without a very good read, he's either gonna push on you or call and leave you in a terrible spot on the turn in a pot that's gotten way out of hand.

No, that's just spewing. Given the pfr you played it fine imo. The pfr depends on the table conditions. I c-bet more than 4.5 but less than 7.

no ty i know what you mean and appreciate any reasonable comments. my usual game is 6+ tabling 6max so i am usually folding this.

here.. i was 2 tabling and kinda bored. bad excuse... my my main point was what to to once i got myself into this situation rather than what to do with 78hh pf.
