Lloyd Carr(Michigan) : 1-5 vs Ohio State and Jim Tressel, season-opening loss to I-AA App. St

Charlie Weiss (Notre Dame): safe, not going anywhere

Chan Gailey (GA Tech):27-3 loss @ home vs Va Tech might have sealed the deal

Bill Callahan (Nebraska): gone w/out a doubt, Osborne will oversee the direction of the program and try to get Nebraska back on top

NFL:

If MN loses to Oakland don't be surprised to see a mid season firing of Brad Childress, Leslie Frazier (D-Coordinator) would take over as HC for the remainder of the season.

If Phil Fulmer loses to either Vandy or Kentucky, I think he's done. In my perfect world, if he doesn't win the SECCG, he's done.

Bill Belicheck. A team with his talent only winning by 4 shows how poorly he prepares his teams.

I always find people who put Lloyd Carr on the hotseat to be clueless. Assuming the point is suggesting there is a reasonable probability they will be fired (and not should be), it's pretty worthless. Carr isn't going to get fired; for all his maddening traits his overall record is pretty good. Hell, if we win this weekend it's 4 RB's in 5 years. I know we want (and should have) more teams in title contention, but at the same time it's hard to argue the program is falling apart or about to if that's what we wind up with. In any event, Bill Martin isn't firing him unless things got real ugly, so it's dumb to put him there.

Anyway, he's retiring so it's even stupider.
