Default what to do when cold deck?

i recently move up a level
and the cards are really dead.
i after over 1000 hands, i know i can beat the player at those level, the only problem is, cold deck.
i lost 3 buy-in tonight at the new level.
usually i would drop down to more comfortable level, but i know i can beat those player easy.
my question is
i went in with 20buyin, now i only have 17buy in.
should i drop down, until reach 20buy-in again or do i ride out the bad luck.

If you want to be strict with your bankroll then move back down, make the money and try again. There is no saying how long the cold deck could last, so stick to your rules of bankroll management.

you might find that at the higher level you become frustrated waiting for good cards and start playing medium strength hands.

move down, regroup, take another shot.

try setting a number of buy ins you are willing to lose before moving up, that way you have a solid idea as to where you stand in terms of the gray area between limits. this has happened to me before especially when i feel i can play with the new opponents; I find it helpful to have a number available so I don't think twice about moving down or continuing to play at the higher stakes since I've already determined what I can afford to lose.

Ride it out until you hit 20 buy-ins at the lower level (10 buy-ins at your current level). Once you get there, or close to it, move down and start rebuilding.
