Default Great xbox 360 + halo 3 + Samsung DLP deal! (save $410)

Hey guys,

I have been thinking of purchasing a 360 and HDTV for awhile now, and today I found a deal at slickdeals that I just couldn't pass up.

Best Buy link - save $410 off a samsung DLP tv

I got the 50" tv + xbox elite for $1250 including tax. You can get the regular xbox for around $100 less if that's what you want, or get the tv for around $600 by selling off the xbox and halo 3 and $100 NFL gift cerficate.

You can also get 1600 xbox marketplace points for $5,

and if you buy an xbox live subscription you can get a $25 best buy gift card.

More details are in the slickdeals thread if you need them.

Hopefully this isn't considered spam, and is approrpriate to this forum. I found it to be a great deal. I know many others in this thread probably have an xbox/hdtv already, but hopefully it helps a few of you others out there like it did me.

This deal is for 720p but any DLP TV can get $410 off.

Awesome deal thanks for the heads up. I read the whole thread and they said they're trying to liquidate a lot of the old DLPs and that black friday should be even cheaper if you dont want the Xbox stuff and can wait that long. Still really tempting to get...

So sick. Just checked out the exact pricing. $1296.79 shipped for the TV + Halo limited + 360 elite. I paid 1163.66 for the TV + Halo limited. $133.13 for an elite. Gahhhhh..

Any chance you can refund and order again? Ebaying the Xbox + $100 NFL gift certificate should easily outweigh the restocking fees on the TV.

Also, I'm gonna go busto because of all the Xbox 360 games I'll have to play and all the HD-DVDs I have to buy plus the speaker system I'll have to get and I'll be too busy to play poker.

Their terms say you can cancel an online shipment up until it's been sent to their warehouse for delivery. It's there... Ah well. At least I'll have the new set tommorow rather than next week.

This deal is sick. I've been holding off on buying any of this stuff until December, but I've my shopping cart all filled out and ready to go.

Is anyone else opting for the service plan or am I just being a nit? To me it doesn't seem like a $1000 tv is even worth the service plan, but I always go for it anyways. Service plan = sucker bet?

Got my set in this morning at 8am on the dot. This TV (the 50" 720p DLP) is amazing. Games look so awesome. Even regular/nonhd cable channels look good - much better than they did on my smaller CRT HDTV which was suprising to me. Whatever smoothing filter they use on the image is very nice. The base of the TV (the part it sits on - less than the entire width) is 36" so it stands just fine on my old TV stand.

It's unbelievable this TV cost $1000.

re: bmwguy - I decided to pass on the service plan. Same reasons. This TV would have to break quite often and cost alot to repair to justify that on a $1000 TV, and I haven't read any reviews of it mentioning any quality issues.
