If he's a good player and you think he's capable of recognizing that he's in a great resteal situation, then I can see a call here. But I think that's way more the exception than the rule here and you're most likely behind. And since you have no reads, I'd have to assume that he wouldn't be restealing with air here.

So if we can assign a range here of top 7% of hands (88+,ATs+,KQs,AQo+), you have about 35% equity. You have to call 1300 into a pot of 2200, so you're not quite getting the proper odds to make the call. If you open up his range to include resteals with nothing, then it's a lot closer.

But you still have an ok stack, so I think folding is best here.

My first thought was "fold". Now I know why. I really need to understand better why I do what I do. Nice post.

i'm thinking at best it's a coinflip and i don't think i need to gamble yet.

do you think he's getting a little desperate with a small stack and AJo may be ahead?

It's certainly possible, but without reads I can only base my interpreation of his actions on my own experience... and most of the people I play don't really recognize 13 BBs as really desperate yet, nor would they recognize this as a reasonable restealing opportunity.

So I would think that hands you're beating (AT, KQ, KJ) are at the very bottom of his range and AJ's success vs his overall range makes this a fold.

Nice job. You have a read as well, right? I'd say this is a fold.
