Default Gutshot?

$2-$5 no limit. 8 handed. effective Stacks $1200
With a limper in front of me, I limp in middle position with 6s-6d. Button, a good player, limps. Small blind calls, big blind checks.
Flop is Qs-9c-6h . Three checks to me, I bet $20, button calls, big blind calls. Turn is the Jh. BB checks, I bet $60, button raises to $160, BB folds, I call.
River is the 2d. I check, button bets $350.

What should I do? ("Do something different on the turn" is an acceptable answer.)

I think something like QJ/J9/Q9 or a set is a lot more likely than a gutshot.

I call.

T8 suited would actually be double gutted here, so T8 as well as KT are hands to worry about. This being live play, with a limped pot preflop, I would simply call the river, and not be surprised at all to have the nuts shown to me. Then again, he has QJ pretty often here.

We lose to other sets. Do you think the average LIVE player has the heart to bet the river with just 2 pair?

Otis Nixon, with all due respect, thinking he has "a set instead of a completed gutshot" doesn't really help us. All sets beat us, I doubt he has 22 here. $350 seems a bit robust for J9 on this river, even live, so QJ/Q9/air are the only hands we beat.
