I'm still looking forward to Hugo Weaving's voice.

And Megan Fox eye candy.

I am super ramped up for this movie.

Also, I just got pissed when I read IMDB's cast list. They have Charlie Adler listed as the voice of Starscream instead of Frank Welker.

WTF? Was Frank Welker too busy voicing dinosaurs for a Disney Movie or did he die or something?

So far from previews, the only thing I haven't liked is that they should've used G2 Megatron instead of a fancy new one. They could've at least made him a tank for the classic look of his cannon arm.

This movie looks like it's gona be awesome. Great work of CGI.

Chris Latta did the cartoon voice of Starscream, not Welker. Welker did Megatron. Weaving will be fine.

I'm dumb. You're right. When I was thinking of it, Starscream + Megatron = Welker, Soundwave = Latta, when it was really Soundwave + Megatron = Welker, Starscream = Latta.

On an interesting note, they did get Frank Welker to voice Megatron in the DS game based on the movie.

What I was really mad about was Charlie Adler voicing Starscream, just because I've never liked Adler. While I think he could recreate a pretty good Starscream voice, I never really liked the other projects he lent his lungs to. (This is all assumed on it being the same Charlie Adler who did AAAAAAAH Real monsters, and a Pup named Scoobie Doo)

80% Fresh Rating at Rotten Tomatoes. Obviously, this is more than anyone expected out of a simple Transformers movie by Michael Bay. link

I took my nephew and niece to see this tonight. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Both kids loved it.

I enjoyed this a LOT more than I expected. It's corny, parts of it are dumb, but I had fun, marked out a few times. Pretty solid, worth seeing on the big screen if you're a fan of the cartoon imo.

I think this sucked. It was fun the first half hour or so, but after the scene with the small transformer in AF1 I figured this movie is going downhill fast - boy was I right. Horrible dialog, bad acting, bad story (so goddamn many plot holes it's not even funny). I realize the target audience will enjoy it though, because it really shines through that this movie is made for kids.

I thought it was alright. Too long, but as a geek, I enjoyed it. Everytime I see one of these movies, I always wish they could shoot a movie in the "lots of special effects action" genre with less quick cuts and clearer action.

Oh, I said it was better than Fantastic Four by a lot, and worse than Die Hard 4 by a medium amount.
