Either way, what hand do you think he played this way that he calls a raise with and you can beat? Ace-high? The odds are similarly minuscule that he'll bluff 3-bet with an OESD and paired board. So maybe one time in 100 your raise will gain you an extra bet when he looks you up with A-High. One time in a hundred he'll bluff-raise you and you'll give up the entire pot. Doesn't seem worth it. |

i play in a 20 game with similar older limping players and usually a raise from them is 10's or better.
in this situation with the player who "hates" you, giving this guy money is only going to increase his confidence. better just to fold pre-flop and keep your emotional edge over him. |
