Default Is 600 games enough of a sample size?

My friend started playing poker about six months ago. He has never read a book or read 2+2 or anything like that. He immediately jumped into the $55's and $110's on pokerstars. He is up about 4k on sharkscope. I watched him play and everytime he just gets incredibly lucky, but according to his stats he is a pretty solid player. I read every book possible and read this site religiously and can 't even beat the $6's. Is it possible to get lucky for that many games and he's due for a downswing or is 600 enough to concede he's a good player?

He can definitley be running good, that isn't a great sample size, but he can obviously beat some level profitably and is definitley a winning player. Whether or not that is the $55s and $110s the sample probably can't really accuratley say but its possible.

i have friends in similar spots. 600 is nothing and he'll get whats coming to him if he really is bad.

also if you cant beat the 6s you probably have a lot of leaks, keep reading the site. if you dont want your friend to get better obviously id steer him clear of 2p2. im devilish like that with this type of thing.
