fwiw i've played like 50k hands of cash and i still havent learned to stop spewing. gl with that

Do you play online exclusively, or mix it up with live play? When you do spew, is it mostly playing excessive hours? I find if I'm sitting down for more than 4 or 5 hours and I'm completely card dead, I just get the urge to try something (that I would never normally do). Obviously this is the wrong time, because nobody folds at a casino.

I think I can work on it, just need to control myself and avoid getting involved with stupid situations against stations.

BTW when I said people don't fold live, I meant your bet sizing should be bigger.

[/ QUOTE ]

i didn't read the thread but isn't betting smaller live pretty standard? in my experience they are calling stations of a different sort. i don't really value shove for a PSB on the river very much like i do online... keep in mind i suck at cash

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know about other live poker rooms, but at 1/2 NL at Foxwooods the "standard" opening raise is usually to $16 or $20 (yes - 8 to 10 times the bb).

What he was mentioning was from my first trip report. Basically, I hit a set on the flop w/ 6 people and a drawish board. I called the flop instead of raising.

I think I probably shouldn't have put the villain all in on the flop here. Pudge was inferring that he was talking about the prior situation, and that advice didn't necessarily apply to this situation in the same sense.

That is confusing, but it makes sense. To me at least haha.
