Bobby Murcer fighting brain cancer

I always found Bobby Murcer to be one of those players you couldn't help but root for (and I am far from a fan of the Yankees). This news comes somewhat out of left field, as the last news seemed to be that he was doing well after surgery.

Oh man. I remember seeing him hit three homeruns in a game when I was a little kid. He missed a fourth that day by a couple of feet.

That's a shame. I am an unabashed Yankee hater, and am not old enough to remember his playing days, but I respect his broadcasting work these days and like listening to him -- I think he is by far the best voice the Yankees have in either the radio or TV broadcasting booth.
