From the tone I'm guessing buddy had AA and IlikeAces sucked out but thinks he played it bad...mostly becuase he had AA this time.

I just thought I mean we are 200BB deep and we both have been playing tight if there was ever a hand to fold KK this might be it.

i don't like this flop raise against him, i think it tells him exactly what you have, and I think he'll fold big pairs here that you're beating.

ilikeaces,

this deep, either reraise frequently preflop or don't reraise at all. you are giving him implied odds to call with almost any hand he has raised with here, and if you don't think he stacks off with QQ/JJ on a rag flop (or at least wins you a very sizeable pot), then what's the point?

Can I ask why you would just call preflop in these situations?

To hide the strength of your hand? What is your plan for flop?

i wouldn't just call, i would raise, but i would raise more hands. if i wasn't raising more hands, i would call and try to play a medium sized pot because KK is still just one pair, albeit a good one, and unless bbuddy is putting in 200BB with < 1 good pair, meh.

Sorry, what I meant was why he would just call the re-re-raise. Don't we just go broke here with AA everytime? What does the flop change?

And even if we are sure we are ahead, why are we giving a flop to villain?
