Default Two monitors, different sizes, alignment?

Should I align them at their tops or their bottoms for maximum lack of headache?

I either go centers or tops, though I prefer centers. I would never go bottoms. Center seems to minimize the up/down eye movement which is why I like it.

This is with the 2001FP and a 17" widescreen laptop.

I have mine aligned on the center as well, but I'd say it's simply a matter of personal preference.
