$5.50 w/88 in SB vs. aggro villain and chip leader to my right
I actually couldn't believe I folded this. I know why I did, I am just suprised that I was capable of it. I knew the BB chip leader is calling anything (huge station). I also knew that if I was ahead (likely), it was only a small percentage . I didn't want to race for a coinflip when I am outplaying these loose players postflop.
Good fold or bad fold, and reasoning for each please. Re: $5.50 w/88 in SB vs. aggro villain and chip leader to my right
well yeah, fold if your read on utg is a huge calling station, fold and let him bust out sb.
If ever you were to call this, you prolly be flipping at the bubble and if ever you do lose the flip you'll be short and down to around 2000 also you'd be doubling up sb. Now the bb is just 200, you can still afford to pass this esp on your utg read. essentially you want to avoid flips at the bubble esp at this time since you have a healthy stack + read on utg. the worse thing that could happen here is you call and utg calls, you have your 88 3-way that really sucks. |

Re: $5.50 w/88 in SB vs. aggro villain and chip leader to my right
I hate folding when I am ahead even a small percentage. Vs 1 person I insta call 1400 stack.
I just don't think this is ever a call with even a 75% chance that chip leader calls simply because he can. Just feel like a stupid nit for folding a +EV situation. Your last comment was the hammer to the nail for me. I envision a 3 way pot with 88 getting pummeled. Just wasn't sure if anyone calls if there is even a slight possibility chip leader regains some common sense to fold a hand here. |

UTG has to be a complete calling moron for me not to push this.
You are ahead of sbs and UTG's range, and your push should generate a bunch of FE against the UTG player. |
