Default NL50 - a calldown becomes a river c/r bluff

I called the turn with the plan of evaluating the river, folding to a big bet and calling a moderate one. But the size and timing of this bet felt very tentative to me, so I ended up taking a swing at this with the hope that some of the overpairs beating me would toss. Thoughts? Should I just call instead?

u really cant check/call this hand down. you will lose sooo much money to bigger pairs.

u need to make your decision on the flop cuz u are just throwing away money on streets after that checking and calling bets... hes not going to bet into someone who keeps calling him with a weaker hand than yours.

id consider check raising or bet/folding flop. sometimes id bet call flop and check/fold turn ... depends on how aggressive villain is.

This is so villain dependent. An unknown very very rarely if ever lays down an overpair. Call river. This is a spot where only a hand that beats you calls.

Yeah, in retrospect I'm not too happy about it. He used all the time in his tank and finally called with AA. I don't think the bluff was terrible, but it certainly seems a little unnecessary.

As for the calldown being suboptimal, it's pretty rare out of me with this kind of hand.
