Hmm, makes that song about Ted Ginn by "the Dead Schembechlers" seem inappropriate now.

What timing, on the eve of the biggest game. Talk about divine intervention. He was the greatest coach and the ultimate motivator in my opinion. He has touched the lives of so many, me included. A true 'Michigan man'! Go blue!

I guess Woody just couldn't watch a game this big alone.
Maybe they'll add a new sign on the Pearly Gates: "Those who are champions, get to stay." |

I remember a game in the late 80s where there was a very close measurement on 4th down. The ref brought out the chains and signaled first down, Bo came running out and argued with the ref and he took an index card off his clipboard and slid it down between the stick and the ball. The Ball didn't move and there couldn't have been much more than the thickness of the card between it and the stick. The ref reversed his call and gave Michigan the ball. It was a great moment that has stuck with me from childhood. I wish I had better details because it was awesome.
RIP Bo. |
