AC Sands - Implosion is scheduled

October 18th, complete with fireworks. AC regulars who have never witness an implosion - the streets are gonna get very dirty, have a blast!

I know that long time ago, in the movie called "Atlantic City" with Burt Lancaster they showed that one old hotel/casino imploding, but mostly I've watched the videos on lasvegas.net, the Sands, etc. The video that affects me the most is for The Landmark. That was the first hotel/casino I stayed in on my first trip to Vegas back in 1983, so I remember it fondly. The background music they play is "Dust In The Wind" by Kansas. Between those 2 elements I watch that and just cry buckets.

Bally's Park Place, probably the big window at the poker room/simulcast lounge would be the best vantage point. It's happening in the evening. Fireworks are preceding it.

I will be there definitely...got my room at Showboat too. It should be awesome. I hated the Sands.

I loved the Sands - always got free room offers, even if I did not give them play for a couple of months. Now I do not get jack from any casino.
