wow... if jamie gold had checked J's full of aces like harman did all you 2p2 nits would be all over him. it was the safe play so congrats to you jen for making the safe play.

it's amazing what you p2prs rage about and the things that you totally miss.

when jen says she's been card dead that's ridiculous. she's only playing the top 2% of starting hands anyway.

ridiculous.

I think Jen is proof that even world class players have off days.

FWIW - It seems rudimentary to check in this spot and let the bluff master bet his range which includes everything from 22 to air.

Gold said he wants to go down in history as the greatest bluffer and I think most people just want him to STFU and go away.

I don't think there is any reason to criticize DN's play. He is at one of the loosest tables ever, he should play tight and he'll get paid off anyways.

That said, I don't really think he's playing tight, I think he's card dead. Considering he called something like $10k with dueces, he's not playing tight. Seems like he's just lacking any pairs, big cards, or connectors. Lots of 93's maybe, and we don't get shown all the cards. Just guessing obviously. He knows how bad the table is, hence "lock the doors!"

sorry if I offended anyone with the pre-emptive douche bag thing..i have gotten attacked here by various people asking a simple question, and I was trying to be funny. Funny how people on the internet can attack and criticize people all day, but get upset at something like this.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I wasn't offended. It just made me want to break your balls.

I sorta liked how he played this hand. Stacks were not that deep, so he probably figured if the flop was all baby cards it would be safe to commit vs. Eli's likely two high cards. Plus he has implied odds to stack Eli if he hits a set and Eli make TP. But he did not reraise pf because he'd have a chance to fold if tight players in the blinds (Phil H or Jen) reraised.

When the turn gave him an open-ender...I don't know, I might have thought it would be better to make another bet and protect the pot rather than hope for more value on the river from an Ace.

Gabe and AJ had some killer lines this show. At the very start I think there were three lines in 5 minutes that had me busting a gut. Although, I can't remember any of them now.

Also, what the hell was with the last 20 minutes. I think we saw 4 hands and 10-15 minutes of commercials.

I think it went something like:

Gabe: Phil Hellmuth has got a weird look on his face... like a shy ostrich who's looking to mate.

AJ: I'll take your word for that one.

Gabe: You don't watch National Geographic?

AJ: Yeah but the ostrich episodes are not my favorite.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah that was the one. Awesome.

Gabe's commentary on QQ vs K7 (Hellmuth vs Farha) was hilarious. Too bad Phil didn't call... although the whining would've been exponentially worse. It's fun to see him freak out but the constant whining after that is boring.
