Aces WTF, FTOPS #1
I'm new to the table and have no reads or stats. I can't get either lego or FTR to convert so I guess I'll just post it like this.
I really feel like I'm ahead of utg's range but have no idea what to make of sb's. Full Tilt Poker Game #3196353891: FTOPS Event #1 (22618705), Table 175 - 140/280 Ante 25 - No Limit Hold'em - 23:31:14 ET - 2007/08/08 Seat 1: TheZadester (10,688) Seat 2: Reazz319 (9,995) Seat 3: DaveDiscount (29,956) Seat 4: dipthrong (9,955) Seat 5: SchaefMyAss (16,604) Seat 6: Flipsyde70 (6,150) Seat 7: skier_5 (7,404) Seat 8: Caranqui (16,929) Seat 9: fangus1 (3,455) TheZadester antes 25 Reazz319 antes 25 DaveDiscount antes 25 dipthrong antes 25 SchaefMyAss antes 25 Flipsyde70 antes 25 skier_5 antes 25 Caranqui antes 25 fangus1 antes 25 Reazz319 posts the small blind of 140 DaveDiscount posts the big blind of 280 The button is in seat #1 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to skier_5 [Ac As] dipthrong raises to 700 SchaefMyAss folds Flipsyde70 folds skier_5 calls 700 Caranqui calls 700 fangus1 folds TheZadester has 15 seconds left to act TheZadester calls 700 Reazz319 has 15 seconds left to act Reazz319 calls 560 DaveDiscount folds *** FLOP *** [Qd 8s 8d] Reazz319 bets 4,005 dipthrong has 15 seconds left to act dipthrong raises to 9,230, and is all in skier_5 ????????? |

Re: Aces WTF, FTOPS #1
Pretty easy call. Which one you put on trip 8s, the guy who open shoves first to act or the UTG raiser?

Re: Aces WTF, FTOPS #1
ok, cool.
I thought about it for 30 seconds and jammed. Just wanted to make sure. Anyone care to speculate on a range for sb here? |

Re: Aces WTF, FTOPS #1
It may not matter too much to the analysis, but SB isn't open-shoving -- he's using the ever so popular "bet pot" button, leading into 5 players on a Qd8d8 flop.
It doesn't change much in the hand, though, as calling is pretty much the only option on the flop. By the way, why didn't you 3-bet preflop here? It seems like the best choice since you have no reads on the table and there are several people to act behind you. |

Re: Aces WTF, FTOPS #1
I cc bc 3betting him looks super strong and he folds a ton of his range that could hit a flop and stack off to me. Plus there were tons of people behind me that could do something stupid. I didn't really expect a whole lot of overcallers.
Anyways I did some stoving and it's pretty obvious what I should do: Board: Qd 8d 8s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 40.927% 39.90% 01.03% 248243 6389.00 { AcAs } Hand 1: 29.847% 28.24% 01.60% 175728 9968.50 { QQ+, AdKd, AQs, AdJd, AdTd, KdJd, KdTd, JdTd, Td9d, 98s, AQo } Hand 2: 29.227% 28.63% 00.60% 178136 3702.50 { AQs, AdJd, AdTd, Ad9d, A8s, Ad7d, KQs, QJs, Jd9d, Td9d, T8s, 98s, 86s+, AQo, KQo } |
