Just watched The Departed -- Might have been good if not for...
The god awful casting.
Was I really supposed to buy Marky Mark and the ugly Baldwin as the police captains? Am I actually expected to swallow Anthony Edwards in a serious role? Don't even get me started on Leo "anger is my only emotion" Dicaprio. And some of their Boston accents were seriously weak. What is it with hollywood and their recent obsession with Boston accents. First we have to hear Tom Hanks absolutely butcher it in Catch Me if You Can, then our ears were forced to bleed some more watching Mystic River, and now this. WHEN WILL IT ALL END?!

Also why is Martin Scorsese allowed to spew his own racism/prejudice all over every one of his films? Each and every one of them it's Jew this, sp** that, f** this, n***** that, and America praises him for it. All he's doing is immortalizing that type of hatred. Dude needs some serious help.
