I don't get what you're saying when villain showed down 78o. What did he have and how did he play it? A HH would be helpful.

I always bet turn with JJ on this board. Because you didn't bet turn your hand is under represented and it put you in a tough spot. I usually fold in this spot because I rarely see big bet bluffs on the river at small stakes. These usually seem to be for value.

Bet turn. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20. Maybe a little more. There are a lot of cards you don't want to see on the river... Q-A. 3, 6 and 8 put a four-straight on the board and villain will shut-down if he doesn't have it. Even a club makes facing a bet trouble. Further, he could've called with a pair there, so pairing the board is bad too. If my math is right (it's late, so no promises) that's 34 cards out of 46 that you don't want to see. Bet and take it down.

Also, something like top pair could call a turn bet, so you also miss out on some value.

make a bigger raise preflop.

I would usually bet the turn.

As played I call here. I dont think he makes a PSB for value after you looked so weak.

No idea what hand raises/calls 3B from UTG, check/calls a pot sized bet on a rag flop and pots the river after the turn checks through. I'm pretty sure it's not a one pair hand like 9T or something weird. Was he floating with like AQ high? Not sure if that makes sense either. I let this one go.

I bet less on the flop; maybe to $8.

I bet/fold the turn and check behind the river.

If he calls the turn and shoves the river, I fold.

You induced this by checking the turn, which isn't terrible. You just have to call river now. High variance-ish though. Think he's floating with AQ+, maybe KQs type hand. The only thing he could be value betting is QQ, which it would seem should bet smaller, or just some random hand he decided to get fancy with and got lucky. Maybe failed c/r top set?

I don't know. I call this or bet the turn.

I definitely raise more preflop b/c of effective stacks that are over 100BB. On the turn you probably want to bet slightly more than half the pot maybe $16. Obv fold to turn C/R or river shove.
