Default Is my line of thinking correct?

villain is 20/10 (PT). Is his PF raising range 10% of 20 or 2%?
And is that range:JJ+, AKs?

Is this a correct way to put someone on a range?

Thanks in advance....

Default Re: Is my line of thinking correct?

pf raising % is 10% (of hands dealt), not 10% of hands played. so it's 10%, not 2%.

a single pocket pair accounts ~ 0.5% of the starting hand range (6 combos 1326 possible hands), so AA-JJ is ~2% (a little less), AKs accounts for a little less than 0.5% (4 combos, 1326 possible hands)

so JJ+,AKs is the pf raising range for someone w/a pfr of 2%.

for a pfr of 10:

this is a little trickier b/c its harder to draw the line for what pp's people are playing, but let's assume they raise 77+

77+: ~4%
unpaired hands (off suited and suited) account for ~1.2% of the range, so the remaining portion of the range could be attributed to AK,AQ,KQ,AJ,KJ (6%)

again, this is just a hypothetical range. at the top it's reliable but the bottom of the range can vary by player

also, better players ranges will widen as they get closer towards the button, so if a player seems positionally aware you will need to widen/tighten their range depending on their position.
