I just sat down and have played like 5 hands and I have never played with this villain before. Is this fine?

I bet/call the turn here. [/ QUOTE ] Okay, what if he just call? What is you river plan (when you miss or just hit a pair? Besides, what do you think about the river bet as played? |

Re: On the river with a missed draw in a utterly weird spot
Turn you can't bet bc he'll have a pair + draw very often with that turn card, and you won't have enough left to fire the river. If you had fired the turn and had a decent amount left on the river its a super easy shove, but given you checked me no likey river b/c:
- You would have shoved clubs a good amount of the time on the turn. - He won't expect you to bet a Q on the river with the board looking like that, even if you would. - I don't like the bet size. I don't think 98 folds to 212 and I think A high flush draws, and combo draws with a weak pair fold to 150 the same as 212. You rep AQ just as well with half pot, bc his range is so weak here. If you want to look like backdoor clubs shove the river. Oh and I think your flop raise is excessively large and makes the stack to pot ratio super awkward for the remaining two streets. I like preflop tho! |
