Re: NL50: 3 street bluff
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] he's not folding an overpair if thats what you put him on. I don't think this is +EV. [/ QUOTE ] Why wouldn't he, 4 card straight is there, flush is there, 7 is there, boat is there. If he calls with an overpair then I think its reasonable to mark him free money.. [/ QUOTE ] what makes you think he didn't hit the board in some significant way? [/ QUOTE ] The way he bet, timing on his bets and call. |

Re: NL50: 3 street bluff
I guess this is just bad. Here are the results.

Re: NL50: 3 street bluff
See, that's exactly what I mean: No need to bluff someone big style if you haven't seen him making big laydowns.
Still a pretty gutsy call he made there... |

Re: NL50: 3 street bluff
[ QUOTE ]
No stats or history. I assume he is your average donkey. This is my first couple rotations around the table. This would be a pretty standard flush or boat line for me. [/ QUOTE ] I think the main issue is right here. Villain doesn't know your standard line and you have no reads here aside that he seems donkish. Given his weak bets and refusal to fold to a line that seems to have him CRUSHED, I'd agree about the donk part, but you should definitely know whether or not he's the kind that will bet into and call this dangerous board down with 99. :/ |

Re: NL50: 3 street bluff
with no stats or reads a 3 barrel is too ambitious. If you really want to win the hand raise more on the turn. River has to be a check (as the only thing you might fold is AhKx)
mark him free money all you like, but dont assume that just because hes weak hes gonna fold. |
