I think it is very possible that I can still pass but it is also quite possible that I do not pass (this is a serious risk).

What is my course of action if I fail? Will I really have to make this class up next year?

[/ QUOTE ]

probably, so don't fail.

Ummm don't fail?

This being Nov. 1, I'm assuming you have at least a few grades left. Go meet with the professor and tell him that you realize that you've been slacking and it's cost you, but you want to know what you should do to bring that grade up. If you do this, make sure you do some of the class reading so that you can raise some substantive questions to demonstrate that you're making an effort.

Then study, and get a C on the final.

k thanks

Ask your adviser there, unless you think a bunch of anonymous poker players know more than they do.

And oh, how the hell did you wind up in this situation to begin with, if it didn't involve crack, hookers, and a lobotomy??

I have basically been mailing in this semester...I live about 25 miles from campus and it is a pain to be out there 4x a week at 8am when I have no other classes before noon (only times my other classes were available)

It's not that I don't understand it, it's that it is torture to attend class daily and I think I may have dug myself too deep of a hole to climb out of...

So yeah, I think I'm going to just talk to a school administrator and tell him of the situation and pray to God that I don't have to put my life on hold over this ish.

You can learn the logic without going to class if you are reasonably intelligent. Work through the text book and homework problem sets. Calculate the grades you need the rest of the way and reach them.

What is the problem, why is it too late to pass?

van exel,

Everyone is right in this thread. What you did was rather foolish. The one suggestion I can give is to go into your prof's office hours and learn how to kiss his ass like you never have before. They enjoy this type of thing. Also, you're going to have to study. He'll help you out if you kiss ass well enough. You [censored] in your bed, now you gotta sleep in it.

Umm, no. It's annoying and a waste of our time. We'd rather you never showed up for office hours and left us to do important work instead. If i could, i'd have office hours from 4-6AM, to make sure no one ever came around.

I guess this depends on the prof and the school because this worked magic when I went to school. Schmoozing = Guaranteed B.
