NL25 Folding JJ Preflop
...I actually think this is NOT the time to fold JJ preflop.
Don't have his stats avail, had 25 hands together. He had open limped a couple hands, raised a couple. Min 3-bet me a few hands earlier. I feel a fold is just mad weak...against a relative unknown w/ 72 BB's do you just shove? Or call and get it in on non-AKQ flops? I guess the in-between stack sizes just threw me off a bit. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $25.25 Hero (BB): $25.00 UTG: $17.95 BTN: $19.95 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players) UTG raises to $1.00, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, UTG raises to $6.00, Hero folds Pot Size: $9.60 |

Re: NL25 Folding JJ Preflop
You are only 4-handed, so people start opening up and stealing a lot more.
I would call (not sure maybe a push is better). And reevaluate on the flop. What happened the previous hand he min3betted you? |

Re: NL25 Folding JJ Preflop
He might have the impression that he can raise/bet you of a lot of hands. But even then you might fold here, but if he does it again soon, i would 4bet him preflop to let him know you are not Sissy. At 10 NL I see people 3betting and calling 4bet ai with 77. Not sure if this is different at 25 NL.
But make sure you have a decent holding when you 4bet and also be sure to have position. |
