I've been reading this thread since the beginning, but don't remember if the following has been mentioned yet. If so: it gets another vote. If not: a new suggestion

I'd like to have a better way to keep notes. Is it possible to add a note-functionality to PAHud (and synch this into PT somehow) and the other way around? So I can make notes in PT and see them through PAHud.

Then we won't need the notefunctionality of the pokersites itself and we can keep notes at sites like FullTilt in PT too.

Unfortunately, no. The current version of PokerTracker does not store near the data that PT3 will be storing therefore there would be major data loss so you will not be able to convert your old databases. You will need to re-import all of your hands.

Will new pa/pt still read/use pt2-based observeds dbs? I haven't been keeping any of the hh for them and would hate to lose all that data.

This limitation makes it essential that one is able to have both PT2 and PT3 installed at the same time. There is no way I want to re-import previous year's hand histories.

Well, I'm sure you'll be able to run both version; however, you will be able to view your old data in PT3 albeit that some stats will not be displayed since they are not in your PT2 database. All I was saying is that you will not be able to merge PT2 databases with PT3 databases therefore there is no need to convert them? Understand?

This is the key point that I didn't understand from your previous posts.

That resolves my concern.

Thanks!

What about if PT3 could import all your existing hands overnight while you sleep?

Yum. I was planning to export all my hand histories and re-import them all. This would be much, much more convenient.

For me the biggest problem is that PT needs US regional settings in windows to run. So each time I run it PT must change the setting and then set it back. This is really annoying and a bad way to make a program work pcs out side of the US. Ofcource sometimes PT crashes (or lockes up and has to be killed) and when I do that I also need to change regional settings back manualy.
