Default Common situation w/ midpair and an 18bb stack

From Stars $55 25k grnt. No read on MP2. What's the play here? How about if I have 44? 99?

i probably push/fold 50/50. 44 i push less, 99 i always push.

im like 60/40 shove/fold. i fold 44 a lot more and shove 99 like 95%.

Push 100% with no read. What's with all these posts without reads? Doesn't anyone use pokertracker anymore?

I would raise to 2,500; pushing with so many BB left is almost telling the guy you have a midpair or AK,AQ.

But then you'd be giving him a good price to call. What happens then if he calls and then basically puts you in on the flop?

i would fold, you have a mid pair and 18bb left your still not in desparation mode

Villain has an M of 20, so unless there's a read that he's a maniac, I would put him on a normal raising range for MP2, maybe something like 99+,A8s+,KJs+,ATo+,KQo. Stoving it against your three pairs yields:
