Pocket pair before flop against action
First of all, if anyone can suggest a good hand converter for pacific poker via poker tracker then please suggest.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1644407 Was I right to fold preflop? I'll explain why I did if someone replies. Felix |

Re: Pocket pair before flop against action
Yes it's a fold. Forget about your cards once you've folded, so what if you would have flopped a set, you're not in the hand so it doesn't matter.

Re: Pocket pair before flop against action
Yes it's a good fold. You need to make 12 times your investment on average, to make calling for set value correct. That is more than you stack, so in this case you need at least 1 person all in and some more money by others when you flop your set. That is not the average scenario. Good fold.

Re: Pocket pair before flop against action
Thanks.
I play pps usually very well but that was a close one. I would have called if I knew I was going to see a flop but I was expecting at least one player to do an isolation raise to fight the pot against the all in player and I could not of stood an all in preflop call. Felix |

Re: Pocket pair before flop against action
Raising pps in 6max is good. But don`t minraise them. Also don`t raise them when you have a very short stack to your left, who likely will fold you out when moving in, since you don`t get the implied odds.
