my philosophy has always been to do whatever you think is going to allow you to achieve your goal AND make you stick with whatever program you choose. Most people wont keep a two-a-day schedule for very long because they will get burnt out. Instead you could do longer sessions of moderate intensity (45 minutes) or do shorter sessions of higher intensity like others have suggested. Dont limit yourself to one machine. Use the bike, elliptical, treadmill, pool, outdoor track/trail to switch things up so you dont get bored. Keep up the hard work and the weight will come off.
