Re: The Well: ikestoys
I remember being told once that a good 5-10 player can beat even a table full of 200nl TAGS pretty easily.
So in what areas do those better players excel? Things like pot control? |

Congrats dude...
I used to play you at 0.50/1.00 and/or 1.00/2.00 on Absolute a ton. I always thought you were solid. Glad to see that your having so much success. I'm still stuck, but things are slowly improving. |

ChuckNorrisRoundhouseKick BUMP - Ike has hit over 100K!! Do you still not have any plans of going pro? Did you ever have any coaching? Do you coach? [/ QUOTE ] - I have no plans on going pro, I'd rather go to med school - I have never coached, I offered to one time, but my time is very, very limited. I'm a premed engineering student, varsity soccer player and have a girlfriend to take care off. Basically, coaching for me would be - life ev and take even more poker time away from me |

[/ QUOTE ] My most profitable area of my game is against 22/17 regs. As for how to beat them? Each reg has certain tendencies, how often they checkraise, what they donk with, how they play in 3bet pots, if they can 3barrel, etc, etc... basically i play really loose in position against these players preflop and take advantage of their postflop weaknesses. it should be noted that i mainly play on absolute, where the standard buyin is 200bb. thats very good for me because of the emphasis it puts on postflop play. the biggest problems most SSNLers have is they don't value their hand enough and they c/c too much. (basically, they are too weak) |

Re: The Well: ikestoys
You talk about being very aggro postflop, but I find people will often just checkraise a lot, and a big cbet again costs me a lot of money. Do you ever get this problem? Especially happens if I loosen up like in your tight games. Surely people play back at you?
Next, I'm sure you said you would rarely get tricky when calling raises if they cbet and you dont hit. Surely you are becoming one of those who everyone cbets against because they know you wont be tricky? What sort of attributes do you look for when trying to find things to exploit, could you put a couple of examples? Basic question I know, but its something I struggle on a bit. Also, if your thinking of making a vid, yes please Thanks |

Most important poker concepts you think you only _really_ understood while at nl100 or above?
Thanks! |
